That Slate Grey GT3 selling for $155k is extraordinary. Buyer stole that one IMO (of course, I'm not biased lol). Kidding aside, has to be the best deal yet for a like-new GT3. Been following this market rather closely for a few years, strangest sale I've seen yet. But with nearly 200 on the market right now and in the winter months, prices were bound to tank.

With BAT, you also never know what the seller gets, as BAT will often contribute the 5k buyer premium, or more, to make sure an auction will close. I was part of one this week where 10k went to the seller to get him to close, but it doesn't show on the BAT page.

I have been part of one where BAT chipped in $3k of the $5k buyer premium when the final bid was $3k away from my reserve, but I have never heard of them going above the $5k buyer fee.

This makes little sense. I could see how BaT may offer to share the 5k buyer fee with the seller but why would BaT lose (pay) money to ensure that a sale occurs?

+3. Not sure that BAT would be the best venue for a like new GT3 sale.

This doesn't make sense. BaT is business. And is not low on closed auctions.

I find it amazing how one dealer who only gets a very small handful of GT3 allocations has nearly all of their GT3 clients "back-out" at the last minute.

And now they need to search for buyers on Rennlist, as if their entire wait list of people never want those cars either.

And there is always a twist as to why it's not available at MSRP, or must be Euro Delivery so they get another allocation, etc.

Almost like it's planned.

An essential difference between most of the sites you listed and auction sites like BaT is that the former are showing prices that sellers wish to receive for their cars. The highest BaT bid shows the most anyone is willing to pay for the offered car. Talk is cheap. BS talks, money walks.

And look at this on the bright side. You just discovered a venue where you could load up on GT cars for cheap. Maybe even start a business where you buy cheap GT cars on BaT and sell them on these other sites which reflect prices that are more "real".

^ so after the buyer paid fees ($40,900) it’s around $60k over msrp for a one year old used 2rs? And it’s not even summer yet.

On auction hammer prices, regardless of whether it’s BaT or Goodings, I think you need to add the buyer’s premium to get the actual transaction price. The buyer certainly figures it in when bidding.
