I wondered the same thing a while back but it's hard to find Porsche production numbers by country/region. Last I could figure, sales are off significantly in the US for 718 cars (911s too) but total global 718 sales are up slightly. Gotta imagine China and EU owners see a nice tax break from the smaller turbo engines...
