Default Did PCNA just make Euro Delivery $2000?

I was configuring a GT3 last night and it was $0, today that option is $2000?!?

First PTS price increases, now this...

Wow, just made it in before the upcharge. Picking up in 2 weeks, no charge on my build sheet. I wonder if this means that dealers no longer pay the $3,000 and no longer get an extra allocation?

Sounds like dealers were passing this onto the customer anyway.

What stops the dealer from still charging for this as well as Porsche? I wonder if this means that the dealer no longer gets a replacement allocation, or if effectively, the customer is now paying for that allocation?

Seems to be their modus operandi recently.
PTS was popular, so they doubled the price.
The extended range fuel tank used to be free. People selected that option, so now it's $140.
Platinum satin wheels were free on the last GT3, now they are $1200. Don't know where Porsche gets all this expensive paint!
By making PDK a free option, those who select a manual transmission are essentially paying extra for it.

A little bit here, a little bit there, pretty soon it adds up to real money!

It's not clear whether the $2k Charge for Leipzig is an additional charge (over the $3k charged to dealers) or a substitute.

If an additional charge, I imagine some customers could be stuck with a $5k bill. But if it's a substitute, would be pretty sleazy for dealers to add to the bill for something that is free for them.

BTW, the Leipzig delivery includes 90-minute GT3 track experience which costs $850 in Los Angeles...

Thankfully some dealers are still good guys, don't charge for ED. Mine doesn't, I hope they still get an extra allocation and not a fat bill.

Mine didn't charge either. Theoretically, an extra Carrera/S/GTS allocation should net the dealership well more than $3k...

On the configurator the prices for ED or PEC delivery vary from car to car. Here is one example:

Carrera S:
ED (both places) = $0
PEC = $450

Edit: I just went on the configurator and now the prices for the GT3 delivery have changed yet again.

ED is still no charge to the customer. That was an error only seen when configuring a GT3.

PEC delivery will be charged now based on the equivalent cost of a PEC driving experience (so will vary by model).

looks like Zuffenhausen is now $1510... oh well that's cheaper than the last time I did ED for a GT3 it was 4k!

We may not like it but it's just plain ol' good business practices....
