Default Strange Brake Issue

I own a 2006 Boxster S where the brake booster works well except when I push in the clutch and pump the brakes as I come to a stop. After a few pumps it becomes hard as if the booster is no longer operating. Under all other conditions the booster works as it's supposed to. Has anyone had or seen this problem? If so, how was it rectified?

Thanks

I have not experienced this problem, but your description would leave me to believe there is an issue with the clutch slave cylinder. If it's like my 944/968's, the hydraulics are shared between the brakes and clutch slave. Could just be air in that part of the system. A clutch bleed using a Motive Power Bleeder may be in order. Old school pumping method works too, but I gave up on that 15 years ago.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Why are you pumping the brakes instead of applying them smoothly?

To clarify, I'm not necessarily pumping the brakes. I might apply the brakes as I shift to neutral, let up, then apply again. The second time and more it gets harder to press.
