I've currently installed some 4" JBL speakers in the rear speaker housings of my 2006 987 Cayman S.
Speakers wired up sucessfully and working well.
The head unit (PCM 2.1) does not have a menu item for a fader option (there is only a balance option). I seem to remember reading there was a way to configure the PCM using PIWIS that would enable the 'fader' menu item.

PCM manual indicates fader option depends on car model...

Looking for some input on how I would go about enabling the fader using PIWIS
