These sun visors are black because they aren't leather, they're stock, checked the window sticker.

I'm thinking Porsche wouldn't put red and black leather in same car, so any part ordered with leather will be red. For now, all cars we have seen pictures of follow this pattern... (Despite what PCNA is telling my SA)

Looks like a bunch more showed up on autotrader at what seems to be MSRP, though you can't say how many are already spoken for.
White looks to be the most commonly chosen paint.
With the allocations opening up, the speculators should get less traction.

Patrick. I sold my 991 c2s too and have a spyder on order. What is your spyder config? Do you have the LWB seats? You mentioned the spyder is not as comfy as the 991... can you elaborate. I had full leather, 14-ways, in my 991.

If you notice, all of the dealer stock Spyders have sofa seats. What I think happened is the cars were spoken for but orders cancelled due to the seat issues.

Regarding Porsche mixing black and red leather, they certainly do ala the black leather steering wheel and shifter with the classic interior.

curious as to the % of Spyders that will have LWB. on the GT4, it's about 40% despite the LWB shortages.

Would be very interesting to learn this info also.. On the one hand there are less spyders being produced, but also, LWB window was much smaller for Spyder. %wise numbers may therefore be similar, but in absolute terms there are going to be very few LWB spyders around.

I created a 987 Spyder list. Maybe I should do one for the 981 Spyder as well - like gmaki has done for the GT4

It was my understanding that the number was closer to 400.

That sounds about right. We were figuring about 1/2 GT4 numbers (initial )
No idea how many new allocations were just dished out for spyder slots though.

My guess would be LWBs are on 15% of Spyders. It seemed there were only a couple of weeks in April and a few weeks in late Aug / early Sept. Certainly the GT4s got priority. I have said it many times...Porsche really fd up on this.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there were any Spyder orders in April.. they were introduced mid-summer no?

For what it's worth, I have a Nov/Dec build and I had the option for PTS and LWB. I wanted the red interior and couldn't think of a better color than GT Silver to go with, it so i skipped on PTS (bad choice?) but got the LWB (I'm V200 so that part should be set). I have the 2nd Spyder at my dealer and the order before mine was not able to spec the LWB. I don't believe they are getting anymore of them but new allocations could always be announced.

I believe the LWB's will become available because Porsche has orders on hold for any with LWB's. Why put them on hold if they will not be available. I just switched to the 18 ways and my order immediately moved forward. I think if you are willing to wait the LWB's will become available.
