Just recently. Apparently any new orders cannot spec the seats.
Porsche really did not anticipate/handle this well.

i'm still holding out (foolish) hope that my SA tells me differently when he is back at work tomorrow. he told me my order has been in the system long enough that it shouldn't affected.. but as i'm nov/dec production, it looks bleak according to information which was posted on this forum today. (curse this forum LOL)

i have to say, and as stupid as it may sound (first world problem yada yada) that this car without LWB just isn't the same for me. i think a 987 model with buckets and manual transmission for basically half the price may just scratch that same itch at this point. I had GT Silver with Red interior specced... with carbon backed LWB this looked great. Now the sofas in red just look goofy to me... and as I'm a series 1 poser, somehow this stuff matters enough to me to make me waiver.

I'm pissed off at the corporate malfeasance in regard to the Diesel engines and that alone makes me want to cancel, but unfortunately I didn't order the LWB. The blatant dishonesty undermines all credibility for me in regard to VW/Porsche. That the Spyder is shown over and over again at car shows and press photos with the LWBs also is dishonest IMO.

I understand that Porsche did not anticipate the demand for the seats however I feel that anyone that has a order in for them, should get them. A remedy for Porsche would be to offer an order change to a different seat or to implement a delay in delivery for the LWB. . Say 3 months or something like that.

Walt.. what you're suggesting sounds so reasonable... offer a guaranteed delayed allocation with LWB. I would take that.

+1.. That is very reasonable idea. Only problem is the model change next year.

I just wrote the following to Porsche. I would recommend everyone do the same:

"I have an order in for a 2016 Porsche Spyder and have selected the LWB seats. Today my dealer in Plano informed me that they received notice from Porsche that all orders from September onward will not get the LWB seats.
I am very unhappy to hear this and think it quite unfair to those of us that placed orders with these seats when they were available and on the configurator. I think what Porsche should do is offer those of us that desire these seats a delivery delay instead of a LWB seat cancellation.
This Spyder will have been my 6th Porsche and would be the number 3 Porsche in my garage. (997 Turbo S and 955 Turbo S) I have been a steadfast Porsche fan, driver and customer and do not appreciate how this is going down. My dealer said they would look more into this however I have told them that if I can not have the LWB seat, as ordered, I wish to cancel my order.
Please run this up the chain of command in the hopes that Porsche management will institute a delay program for those of us with current orders with the LWB seat option."

As I said on another thread, I would cancel. It's not the same car without those seats.

IMHO we don't know that all orders with LWB were rejected. So far we only know it is new requests for them. (knock on wood) This is similar to PTS. Porsche can only accommodate only so much. Yes, they under forecasted the demand for both.

posted this on the other thread but my SA said that as long as you're past V100 with LWB on configurator, you're good.

Ok, I am finding out more information about my order. After requesting and receiving the build sheet it shows next to vehicle status: V100- Feasibility Check Failed.

I am guessing that it is because the P11-Full Bucket seats are not available?

If so, why would they show as available on the configurator at the dealership when I was building the car? If they were not going to be available why would Porsche not take them off of the configurator?
