Having an apparent false alarm, and wondering if this is a known 981S (3.4) issue.

My last oil change was about 1,500 miles ago, and no oil has been added since (mine has never burned enough oil to require adding any between my regular 5,000 mile oil & filter changes). The other day, I got the warning message "Oil level too high to drive vehicle"; I ran the electronic level test and of course it showed the level all the way to the top of the scale. It must be a false alarm, but is still unnerving...anyone else deal with this?
