The car is basically done...new diff coming on Monday and then Olsen custom front scoops and screens later on this week. Then the car is ready for action at Buttonwillow with Speed District on Friday, May 20th.

The car weighted in at a slim 2,755lbs (would have been 2,700lbs had it been a 6-speed). Here are some pictures of the car.

Looks great! I'm just starting 2010 Cayman s Hillclimb car build. Considering making it a track car as well.

Yup, I picked up a used 997.2 GT3 steel center muffler from a local fellow RL'er. When idling the car isn't too loud even with the catless cargraphic headers but when you start to rev the car it sounds like sex! BBI fabbed the piping from the catless to the muffler, the hangers for the muffler, and the tips for the muffler since the GT3 ones were too short.

Nice, just remember to build in a time and $$$ contingency for the track build.

Martin,

Are you pulling out your foglights? I still have mine and they still are operational. Lol.

Yeah, I got modded front radiator scoops and front screens from Tim Olsen so the fog lights will be coming out.

Yeah, had to do with the AC module. These PDK cars are very sensitive.

All I can say is WOW...the car is so awesome. It's a completely different car before it went under the knife. It handles like a go-kart and feels much quicker now that it's 300lbs slimmer. Big props to Betim and the guys at BBI for building me such a great car, well worth the wait. Also props to Josh and Speed District for putting on a great event on Friday.

Here's my fast lap of the day...a lot of time on the table left (we were running 13CW at Buttonwillow). I think the car can do a sub 1:50 in the right hands.
