Still looks good actually, I think the black steering wheel helps.

The Carrara White / Sand Beige guy is not replying to my emails or text messages and the Silver / Black is a bit higher than I want to pay for that specific build.

I still think it's a good idea to make an offer on the guy who bought the Silver one and wants to sell it for 60K. Why not split the difference? He'll take some of a hit on his mistake. You'll pay a bit more. WTF, right? You'll get the car you really want...

This one:
"Ha! So the Silver Spyder story from Autotrader gets even more interesting.
The person that bought it is also a fellow member here. He has reached out to me as he has decided to sell it. In his words it was too extreme for him and his wife. Which I get as the Spyder isn't for everyone. He offered to sell it for $60,000. He bought the car for the listed $53,800 from Atlanta, but after sales tax and transportation he was out $60,000. To me, I would never pay for someone else's mistake. Whoever buys it is basically paying double sales tax and transportation cost. The logic isn't there for me. Maybe it will make sense to someone else? So expect to see this Spyder back on the market here and on Excellence very soon for $60,000!!!"

Thinking about getting this:

http://roger-jobs.porschedealer.com/...30332/info.php

It's basically built almost exactly the same as my old Riviera Blue Spyder.

Cons:
-Front Plate Drilled
-No Buckets
-Higher Mileage

Pros:
Rare Cream White with Factory Black Spyder Wheels

Nice!!! You can install the Sport Shifter and Bucket Seats later. I like it. I know you are cruising the 981 GTS threads as well and that is a NICE car BUT... the Spyder is a very very very LIMITED edition car. You know you want it. Got for it.

cream white looks much better with the black wheels. Color just looks odd with the normal silver wheels.

I agree. I would never do silver wheels with Cream.

Yeah... deep down the 981 isn't special enough for me. I know it excels performance wise, but the heart says Spyder.

Thats the money shot! Nicely equipped as well Black Spyder wheels make that car. If the price is right and you grab it you will have a very exclusive example.

Donovan, you've been away for a while, so you might not be aware:

Bucket seats have become very scarce and valuable over the past year. Suncoast now sells them for over $9k, and there are some reports they are sold out without any eta of new ones arriving. The used market prices now start at $7k, but they are used and I do recall you are pretty **** about scratches and blemishes.

Joe brings up some really good points about the buckets. It's a reason why the bucket cars are commanding higher prices.
