In my older age, bells and whistles break. No sunroof? a plus for me. I never open it. Used car, is all about price. I have small kids and car pool. Currently have a 4 seater, next will be 2 . . .

Final story: The car (2011 base model, mint, PDK, little else, only 9.5K miles) finally sold for $41,500 on consignment. I got an even $40K. It took months. The dealer advertised in lots of places. He very much discouraged me from reducing the asking price much. In the end, he was right. (He had no stake--his take was an even $1,500 regardless of the sale price.) In the end, I'm happy and, given the condition of the car, I suspect so is the buyer.

I'm confident I got the high price that I did for the very same reason I paid a high price for the car--there's always someone willing to pay extra for an absolutely pristine very-low-mileage car with full maintenance records.
