Congratulations!

Unfortunately the highway is the worst place to experience a Spyder, hopefully you were able to take up Merrit Pkwy to enjoy those great curves and the canopy of trees.

Looking forward to getting your impressions once you have time to take it out on the back roads.

Enjoy in good health.

Thanks, everyone! We did take the Merrit but by then it was around 10pm and I was getting really tired so at a rest area we swapped drivers and I took a 20 minute nap. :-) Got it all cleaned up now!

Unfortunately it's possible I won't be able to really drive it for 5-10 weeks due to Massachusetts not recognizing temp tags and registration from the Virginia dealer potentially taking a loooong time. I'm going to see if I can work with them to just get the title and register it myself. Wish me luck on that.

Nice. Were the stripes added? I thought aqua blue cars had white stripes from the factory?

Yeah I've seen other aqua blues with white stripes. I don't know if this car was ordered by its original owner or not, but if it was I expect he was able to request black. It might be one of a kind!

Great looking Spyder.

For some reason I thought the Aqua had silver stripes, not white or black. I went through the ordering process and as far as the sticker, the only option was to eliminate it but I never did ask if the color could be changed since I was happy with the silver. Does it mention anything on the window sticker about the black logo?

Bummer about being tired on the Merrit, especially with no traffic! I bet your friend had a blast.

Had a similar experience with my MY12 Spyder order. Flight from Washington to Norfolk, Barry from Checkered picks me up in Panamera, shows me around the entire shop, and we head towards the newly unwrapped Spyder. It was an experience I'll never forget. The car still puts a smile on my face every time, 14k miles and 2 years later.

Congrats, I'm sure you'll feel the same years from now.

Nice car, I can't believe the dealership didn't pick you up at the airport

Nothing on the window sticker about the stripes at all.
