Anyone here done it?
Worth it or not?
Thoughts
I know nothing about this mod, just doing my homework.
Thanks everyone.

I think it's worth it. Better blip performance on down shifting, quicker spool up and a bit of additional HP. All you need to be aware of is the rattling sound when the clutch is not engaged at idle

I bought through Sharkwerks. I'm not sure whose parts they use, but you could call Alex.
One warning, it does change the harmonics below 3000 RPM, which is most noticeable in the higher gears. It doesn't bother me that much, but my wife hates it, so she keeps it in a lower gear than I would when cruising at steady state speeds.

I looked into this and came across several people warning against it unless you completely disassemble the engine and balance the crank. Check out pelican and planet 9 and you will find several well qualified Porsche mechanics and gurus explaining what can happen with a SMFW on these cars.

As I said, many claim it's an issue on the non-DI engines.
Dual-mass flywheel to LWFW is a huge difference in weight on those cars. Raby is rebuilding my wife's Boxster S. I asked about the LWFW on that car and was told that it causes problems. When I asked his opinion on the 9A1 DI engine, he said that was a whole different animal... not really an endorsement, but he also didn't try to dissuade me.

Decided against it when I recently did my clutch because of the issues mentioned above. I had to replace my flywheel--so it really wasn't a financial decision. Just a motor longevity decision.

Yes, I hate the dual-mass feel and a FW should not be a wear item.
stujelly, Raby just didn't have enough experience with it yet, and he's cautious.
It's pretty easy to see how a LWFW on an engine that has known IMS issues could be a problem.

Stujelly-- You have an Interseries car, right? Kind of interesting that after three years of refining the spec for this car, and all the improvements they made along the way, Napleton chose not to do the LWFW. If I owned an Interseries car I would probably want to do the LWFW. But I'd be a little curious to know why it was not done by Napleton. Ask Danny or Ron??

No more interseries now, so need to max performance in the gtb1 class to be competitive
