Default 6 speed to PDK

hi there. i've been lurking forever up here, and figured id finally join in a bit. let me start by saying how appreciative i am of all the great knowledge up here. i hope i can over time contribute a bit.

i purchased a 6 speed 2010 Cayman S track day race car which comes from the east coast.

After two years of pounding on the car, the gearbox has called it quits. I havent had it opened up just yet as we were at Road Atlanta a few weeks ago and i have not have time just yet. But my guess is that it is shot.

Does anyone know if you can pop a PDK transmission into an original 6 speed car assuming you buy the pdk trans, the necessary shifter etc. id imagine you'd have to return the ecu if its even possible.

does anyone know whats involved in all that?

Thank you.

best bet is to rebuild, sell, start over.

you could buy a wreck and swap it all over but alas the labour and cost will be a factor.
