Latest A91 GT3 engine in Cayman?

I think the ability to get a salvaged 981 to start with will make this a much more attractive package as a Track/DE only car! As long as that Aluminum tub is not damaged! As well as motor options becoming cheaper/easier to obtain.
Will be interesting to see how the GT3 engine swap plays out as I can't imagine they would make it easy! The BGB swapped car with no rule book is my current choice for the ultimate DE only toy! Of course I'm one of those prospective 2nd hand buyers after the said major depreciation of one of these projects!
Grateful for all the Ballers working out all of the bugs for me!

If the A91 GT3 has a true dry sump with an external oil tank. I bet it would be adaptable to any A91 engined Cayman.

Porsche is never going to put a GT3 motor and trans in a Cayman and the GT3 snobs won't be happy til they do. In the meantime you could have what you want while some GT3 leg humper sits waiting on the sideline while he can't figure out why your Cayman hounds his GT3RS at DEs.

Ha ha ha ha... That's awesome. I have never been so excited to be wrong. In my defense however never could I have imagined that internal combustion car sales would cease. The reason that this is happening is because Caymans are going electric and this is the last dance! 😢

The 987.2 6-speed trans comes from a diesel Audi available only in Europe in FWD form. It was when I found this piece of information, that I had enough faith in the transmission to last the 24 hours of Daytona if we bolted it to a 3.8L DFI motor. No one thought it would last.
