Default 987 oil filter wrench 74 mm c/ 14 flutes

I can't locate my canister wrench. I saw a reference that is was 74mm with 14 flutes. Does this sound correct?

I'm sure some of the P-car specialty shops sell them for our cars. I've seen them go for around 30, IIRC. For me, I've been using this type of oil filter wrench. It's flexible enough to work on my Boxster and other filters on my other cars. Plus, they're pretty easy to find @ local auto parts stores.

I actually bought the Porsche part, only to find out it was the exact same size as the one I use on my Evo. There are 14 sides/flutes. My generic oil filter socket wrench is labelled 'flotool', size 7. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. Did get it done. Took three different chevy mechanics boxes to find one that worked. Has anyone put the L & N adaptor on allowing for a screw on filter with claims of better flow?
