Race Car
Are the cars you're expecting pretty much "base" Cayman S' from the factory?
Meaning, are they void of all the crazy options...and that's why the good pricing?
I'd be interested in buying one if they're only $63K!??

Thanks Jeff! Yes, they're void of almost all of the options which is why they have such a low MSRP price. The PDK car has a few more options than the others and one of the two manuals we have left has Limited Slip, but yes the first white one is only $63k I'll PM you more details on them right now.

2012 Cayman S Race Car
Jeff, I assume that the 63K is for a street legal car from the factory and that the car needs to be tubbed out, roll cage installed, race suspension installed, race seat and belts, etc. Is this correct? My experience is that it is at least 40K to convert a street car to a race.

The delta between a decently equipped 2012 Cayman S/Cayman R and when it's completed is roughly $40K. So you are correct. Assume that most shops would spend about 100 hours on the buildout. So figure $10K in labor and $30K in parts to turn a brand new street car into a brand new race car.
