Default FS: Porsche Lithium-Ion Lightweight Battery

Hi guys,

Up for sale is my brand new, never used OEM Porsche lithium ion lightweight battery. The box has only been opened to admire and to take pictures for you guys. Because it was part of the options list on my newly purchased Cayman R, it came along with the regular battery, which is now in the car. I just don't think I'm going to be installing it, so my loss is your gain!

Here's some additional info of the product from Suncoast: (Sells for $2,895!)

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...gory_Code=987s

- "The new battery was developed specifically for lower weight. In sports cars designed for superior driving dynamics as is the case with both versions of the 911 GT3 and the Boxster Spyder, less weight naturally means greater agility and driving dynamics. It weighs just under 12 lbs! "

Asking $1950 and buyer pays shipping (hazmat shipping required)...located in SF Bay Area...local pickup welcome as well!

You need Hazmat to ship a LiOn? I thought they were fine to ship because they are sealed and dry cells.

i called UPS and was told if it is "sealed and non-spillable, no hazmat shipping required...just write on the package sealed non spillable" I would guesstimate the charge to send it would be $25 based on weight and what I suspect the box dimensions to be if it were to be sent from west coast to east coast

Thanks for the interest Only1Buck! I just weighed the box and it comes in at 13 lbs. According to the UPS site, it will be $25, assuming no hazmat shipping to your zip code. Let me know if you're interested!
