Default TPC Inactive

I put a set of 17" Porsche wheels (Replaceing 18" wheels for the winter) with TPC valves and "TPC inactive, System Learning" keeps showing on my display. I have driven the car about 20+ miles since putting them on the car. At one point I did get a reading on two of the wheels, but it didn't come up again. The wheels are from 2007 Cayman.
Any advice or suggestions?

Did you select a different set of tires through the onboard computer? (see page 104-109 in the owners manual)

The batteries in the sensors themselves may be dead.

Yes, I did change the tire size. The dead battery is what I suspected. I think that I may just shut off the feature through the computer. Thanks

Looking for an update...2008 Cayman - delivered in Aug 2007 now continuously shows "TPC Inactive." Do you really have to swap the sensors or is it just a battery change?

Thanks!

From what I found out, the sensors have to be changed ($250 to $400 a set, according to where you buy them and the tires have to be removed to put them in), you cannot replace the batteries. I track the car and change wheels often, so I shut down the feature in the computer. A complicated process, but it can be done.
