Default 2011 Le Mans

Gents: Just came back from the Circuit de la Sarthe, where we walked around to get acquainted with the track (first visit). Saw the cars on pit lane in anticipation of the race which starts at 3 pm on Saturday.

Audi and Peugeot will be fighting for overall in LM P1. There are five Porsche 911 RSR's in GT 'professional' (including Flying Lizard) and three RSR's as 'amateurs'. Their competitors will be Ferrari 458's & 430's, BMW M3's, Corvette ZR1's, Aston Martin Vantages, Lotus Evoras and a lone Ford GT.

Incredible atmosphere with a great attendance at hand from Britain, Holland & Denmark, among others. I am with a group of 25 American enthusiasts on a 'Guys Only Car Tour'. This is our last weekend in Europe and we will be here at Le Mans until Monday morning. We started in England with visits to Jaguar, Bentley, Morgan & Aston Martin, with additional visits to a hill climb at Shelsley Walsh & museums at Brooklands. Will post photos on my return. z356 (France)
