Did they show the Boxster Spyder there?
If they did that means production will continue? if not then it could mean the end of production as rumored.

Cayman: I believe I saw photo from LA Auto Show of a Basalt Black/Carrera Red Spyder there. I will be there this afternoon & photographed it for posting here. My dealer also obtained at least one more Spyder MY2011 allocation last week for early 2011 delivery, which he offered me. So Spyder MY2011 production continues until late spring/early summer of next year for sure.
I also got an email last night from a friend that attended Wednesday night party. He sent me a photo of the MSRP info display in front of the world premiere Peridot Cayman R that reads "MY2012", not MY2011. I sent that photo to my dealer and this morning PCNA confirmed to him that the Cayman R will be a MY2012, not a MY2011. He will be able to custom order a Cayman R for customers starting in the next allocation batch in January.
So that means (I believe) we will see current Boxster/Cayman platform continue 'as is' for MY2012. And that might mean we will also see a MY2012 Boxster Spyder too. Because of this new information re: Cayman R as a MY2012, I believe we can expect to see the new Boxster/Cayman platform as a MY2013 (not a MY2012) that will probably be announced late in 2011 and produced/delivered starting in spring of 2012 an an 'early' model introduction. z356 (Montecito/Santa Barbara on way to LA Auto Show)

If you haven't stumbled upon it already, somebody on the 997 board has a full gallery...

Alan thank you for posting the link to the pictures...the spyder shots are nice I loved the shots of the gray targa and I think that color would look good on a spyder

I'm still disappointed that Porsche isn't willing to offer more colors for the Spyder. Looks like they will be removing the Blue from the list for next year as well based upon the website.

The color on the 911 Targa S is 'Grey Black', which was supposed to be exclusive for the .2 gt3 RS. On that model, it was a $3500 added cost as a 'special color'. There was no mention on the display sign in front of that Targa of a charge for this color. So, unless that is a new standard color for a 911 in MY2012 (which I doubt), it is Paint-to-Sample at $5500. But here is the rub, most .2 gt3 RS 'Grey Black' owners will not be pleased that this formerly RS 'exclusive' color is now available on the 'common' 911.
As you may know, Porsche AG has rejected requests for 'classic grey' on a gt3 rs because it wants that color only associated with the limited edition '911 Sport Classic'. And I was told yesterday by a German Porsche rep at the LA Auto that they will NOT allow the gorgeous blue of the new 911 Speedster to be ordered on any other model.
And for the record, the same rep (Sascha) confirmed that, for the time being, they will NOT accept Paint-to-Sample on the Spyder or Cayman R. Z356

if you go to the website and select the Spyder and then select color you will see that only the red, black, white, silver, darker silver and basalt will be available. Cream is also available as a special color. No blue to be seen anywhere.
