Default Wheel/Tire Fit 19s and 18s

I am a newbie so please excuse this question if the answer is obvious:

My 06 987 S has 18" Boxster S wheels. I am thinking about buying a set of 19" Carrera S wheels for it. My question is: is this a simple 'take of 18s off and put the 19s on" or is there more to it?

Thanks guys.

You will need spacers to make them fit right. Also, depending on the width of wheel/tire. Some folks have gotten them to fit, some have reported rubbing with aftermarket suspension parts. You may want to look into Carrera wheels with the Boxster/Cayman to fit without spacers/issues.

Default But aren't they a standard option of the 987

If so, do you think they'd require the spacers?

Ah, if you are getting the Carrera S wheels that came with 987s, they'll bolt up without spacers. If you buy Carrera S wheels from 911s - which is what I thought you meant - you'll need spacers.

Look hard for the Boxster S Carrera S rims - they will have the correct offsets and will bolt right on!
