Default My New Track Toy 07' Cayman S with Pics

I am new to the 987 forum but have spent the last several years on the 997 and 944 Turbo forums. Rennlist rules! I just acquired a preowned 2007 Cayman S with 3k miles. This car will replace my 86' 944 Turbo as my track queen. I will post the 944 Turbo for sale shortly. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Previous owner spent over $36k at Farnbacher Loles and a lot of TLC.

Thanks, it was an awesome find for the price. FBL upgraded to several carbon pieces like the mirrors, side vents, & larger rear wing. Also added the 19" Champion RS 97's with painted black centers, bilstein's PSS9 for PASM with springs, lowered the car, added alcantara sport seat inserts and GT3 RS steering wheel, complete sport exhaust which is apparently no longer available from a specialty shop in Germany, flashed DME, and BMC green air filter (current setup with 100 octane will produce 350hp), added quaife limited slip differential, painted the calipers in RS orange to better match the car, black mesh screen inserts on front and rear of car, powder coated muffler and pipes matte black, powder coat lug nuts matte black, and today the car is getting fully wrapped in highest grade xpel clear film with its own clear coat. Since I will be tracking this car, need to protect the paint.

Great looking car! Congrats! Almost looks too good to be a dedicated track car. Any chance you'll be parting out factory options (e.g., seats) as your car go through the transformation?

I just acquired the car as is. I think the original owner out of NJ has already parted what was pulled. I tried to get the original P wheels to use as track wheels but they were already sold. I will use the sport seats in the winter as I will drive the car to work and use recaro's while in DE season.

Ah...I asked because I wasn't sure if you were turning this into a dedicated track car, or a street legal (pass inspection, full interior, etc.) track car. Sounds like you'll be doing the latter.

Well, let me know if you would be interested in a trade of my leather seats + my 18" OE wheels for your sport seats. That way, you have seats that will hold up better than Alcantara in the winter and a set of dedicated track shoes.

Thanks Renn 951, I see we share the same taste in 951's too. Mine is listed here for sale and on ebay.

Very nice 951 at a great price! You should have no problem selling it. Mine has over 140K miles now and I'm in the process of having the engine rebuilt.
