Dear All,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZQZx349XLw
I have repeatedly reviewed this Boxster acceleration video . Few things that I would like to ask you all experts as there is a problem:
Why would the shift light on the dash showing "on" for both manual and auto mode? Normally, the light should be "on" only in either side. It only happens once...
Is this really possible to acceleration the boxster from 0-100km/h in 5.9 sec? Couldn't really do that even shifting closes to the red line.
Thanks all.

I've never seen a "shift light". Is that something new on the '09s?

Just watched vid here at home...yes that's a 2009 with PDK. Would have to ask those who have driven a PDK car of any variety. I'm assuming it's saying car is in 'Drive' and once the PDK is activated via the paddle or **** then it also will indicate a 'manual' override? Of course this is just my assumption...

Dear Tetzlafh and Charlie C,
I have somehow found out the causes of these odds, maybe?!
1). The tire pressure was only 22psi rather than 30psi for all tires which the car was handed over to me by Porsche from the first day. Not sure will that cost slower acceleration from 0-140...
2). One day, I was playing around with the PDK shifter button while waiting in front of the traffic light. I realized that when my car was shifted to auto mode and pressed the shifter on the steering, the lights on the dash will have error which both PDK mode and Auto mode will both ON. (as shown on my video)
Not sure if anyone who owned this 2009 Porsche Boxster 987-2 facelift has the same problem?

Yes the new 2009's have a shift light in the dash right above/inside the MFD (multi fxn display). Actually its a part of that. I have a manual 6sp 09 Boxster and it will show a lighted upwards arrow when the engine and computer think its time for you to shift into a higher gear. The manual says this is supposedly to allow you to get the max fuel economy for the speed you're in. You can ignore it tho if you so wish.

Having a 09 Cayman cabriolet, with PDK, if one is in the auto selection mode, not manual, then manually downshifts, it will light up both lights at the bottom. After it upshifts, the only remaining light is then in the auto mode.
