the Cayman is a better handling car in need of more horsepower....the 911 and all versions of it except the gt2 and gt3 are great highway touring cars. The issue with the 911 is that its much heavier than it started out being and the cayman gets you back to the roots of what a sports car is about..simple and light. The gt3 in my opinion having driven extensively all the modern Porsche's available...is the best car they produce currently...bar none.

Best car for what purpose? If Porsche only produced GT3/GT2s to satisfy the pure and worthy, they would have gone out of business a long time ago. One could easily argue that the best car Porsche builds is the Boxster, a pure roadster w/ impeccable handling and pedigree at a very reasonable price. Ferry Porsche's original goal was to build a comfortable sports car for affulent (not super rich) customers that could be driven on a daily basis. He did not have streetable race cars in mind.

I'm going to try a Cayman S with all that "new" hp and see if I like it better than a base 911. I'm not going to convert my GT3 into a daily.
