The easiest way to go faster is by removing weight; you're just pulling out what you already paid for.

Quick way to lose 50 pounds: remove all 4 brake rotors.

Check into local clubs that have track events like the PCA, BMW Club, Audi Club etc. Or go to local racetrack websites and check thier DE driving schedules and then contact the organizers.

I started in PCA and then joined NASA to go through thier HPDE High Performance Driver Education shcools. NASA is a great place to learn because there are lots of race car drivers there to talk to and you get to watch real races between your sessions. I still do lots of PCA DE's too.

Just go to DE's and start learning, don't go there just to try to drive fast and pass people. When you learn how to drive, the fast will come.

Drive a couple of DE's on your street tires then buy track wheels and tires. That alone will increase your fun a significant amount. You'll learn that those 911's aren't as fast as people think.

Best .. Mod .. EVER!!!

Surprisingly, a diet can help out a lot too. My car feels markedly more nimble now that I am about 120lbs lighter than when I bought it.

Another thing to remember about mods is area under the curve- if a mod gives you 30hp for your last 500rpm, how useful will that be...as opposed to say swapping to a987S where there is a much larger area under the torque/hp curve.....usable torque/hp are key to your planned upgrades......another reason why forced induction is so popular
