Yes, except it has 40 series tires.
265/40 zr18 rear

I guess what I'm trying to say is
I'm really impressed with the driving characteristics of the boxster.

Though at highway speeds I do feel more kidney bounce than the 911

Not sure if I answered your question right?

alex911s,
Nice ride

why are there more and more people keep getting a tubi exhaust with their Cayman?

how do you get this stuff ordered and installed by your dealer?

Actually, more than I thought. It was sort of rhetorical
I would imagine the S or a Cayman S with a 6 speed would feel considerably different power-wise.

Interesting comment about the 987 feeling more kidney bounce than the 996. Out of the box, I think the Cayman handles volumes better than a 986. To me, the 986 is considerably softer with the front end underdamped and bobbing around too much. Maybe this is some of the tuning. Stiffer shocks but higher profile tires?

compared to 987, 986 does have more front end bobbing.
comopared to 996, 986 has less front end bobbing.
compared to cayman, 986 has more front end bobbing.

Thanks, mooty! I always enjoy your perspectives.
What's curious is that the 996 is comparatively lighter in the front yet the shocks are stiffer than the 986. Go figure. Maybe it's because the CG is much further behind exaggerating the motion?

That is a gorgeous automobile. Is it lowered with springs or full coilovers?

> wifey is really bugging me that it's too loud..

Get her a pair of eShure earphones (and an iPod) for her birthday or something. Just don't be too obvious about it.
