Yes, and it looks like the base price will only increase $800 ($54.7 vs a reported 55.5)

Boxster Gets Powered Up - from the Daily Edition

"Porsche's 2007 Boxster and Boxster S convertibles get more power and torque, as well as updated Tiptronic transmissions, the German automaker announced on Monday. Outfitted with Porsche's VarioCam Plus variable valve system, the Boxster gets five more horsepower for a total of 245. Torque rises from 199 to 201 pound-feet. With a five-speed manual the base Boxster will scoot to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph. The six-speed manual raises the top speed to 162 mph. The Boxster S model, meanwhile, gets a displacement boost to 3.4 liters from 3.2 liters, and pushes its horsepower up 15, to a total of 295 hp. Torque rises by the same amount to 251 lb-ft. Porsche promises 0-60 times of 5.1 seconds and a 169-mph top end. Refinements to the Tiptronic gearbox, the addition of tire-pressure monitoring, and an updated Sport Chrono package round out the upgrades. The Boxster goes on sale in August for $45,600; the Boxster S will be priced from $55,500. "
