Default Fabspeed Exhaust anyone?

http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/13806

See any downside to this? They say no warranty or emissions issues.

Any experience?

I'd consider $1500 plus shipping and installation labor to be a downside. On the other hand, 10-12 hp from exhaust change alone would be considered a very good gain. They say "estimated", which I take to be similar to the "up to" qualification used by others. In other words, your results may vary, so I'll leave it to others who have tried this exhaust to describe the gains and sound. I do believe that Fabspeed has a good reputation on many of their upgrades.

Even if the 10-15hp gains pan out to their fullest, most of us are really only interested in bolting on that new exhaust to get a better sound from the tailpipe. $1500 is a good chunk of change to alter the sound, but their construction seems to be top notch (esp. compared to the other brands they disect on their website)

I wouldn't hold my breath on the HP gains. Same nonsense with their 996 exhaust. They do give a good sound for the 996, and have excellent workmanship. Have heard of a few gripes, like weld coming apart, but a few bad apples won't spoil the whole bunch. Don't know about their Boxster line, though.

I like the OEM sound of the 987S. Bette than the stock 996 sound. I'd have to hear the Fabspeed in person before I drop any cash, especially that much cash.
