Default More legroom than a Boxster????

That is the question for me. I love the sound and drive of the new Boxster but I am pinned upright against the bulkhead Maybe without the convertible top they can give me 2 inches more seat travel. I would be very interested if that were the case.

Maybe? I wouldn't really think so since the engine is in the same place, i figure the only addition is going to be some additional storage space behind your head. Otherwise, its pretty much the Boxster platform.

I agree, that engine firewall won't be moving (unless they have stretched the frame which I doubt it)...

I think the leg room is the same. Bummer if your legs are really long I guess.

leg room spoiled the Boxter for me and I'm only 6'2" .... in my early 911, I had to pull the seat up a couple of notches

How much space do you seriously need. If its not that much, is there possibility of a pedal conversion ?

I am 6'2" myself and the problem isn't space, I like the compact cockpit. To keep from having my knees rub the steering wheel I have to have the seatback against the bulkhead which forces it uncomfortably upright. I could do it for a while but no long trips. In my 928 and my previous 944T I didn't use all of the seat travel either and I can recline a little to accomodate my correspondingly long arms.

I haven't looked really closely at a Boxster. I was just thinking that the top mechanism might have been taking up some space behind the seats. In coupe form maybe they could allow some degree of recline with the seat all the way back. That would do it for me!

I also have legroom issues. I sat in a Boxster for the first time about a week ago and it was tight. The gas pedal was so far right that my foot was at a 45 degree angle trying to press it. The passenger's side was no better.
