Default Repair estimate?

I was pulling my 987 into a garage and slid on ice into a metal beam. Car drove fine back to the spot, no lights on the dash, but pinkish red fluid was pouring out. I was looking for some help on what I can expect to pay for in repairs, and any advice on a good next move.

And all that coolant will be lost, now. Like tears, in rain.

That's coolant, meaning you cracked a radiator or part of your tubing to the radiator. New bumper, obviously, and a number of parts that go behind it. Between parts/labor I'm going to hazard between $3-5,000 depending on what exactly was damaged. The Porsche tax will apply so it could easily be more, but anything the internet says is spitballing as it all depends on what was damaged that you can't see. Next step is to find a body shop you trust and have them examine it. You will need to tow the car as it will not have any cooling of the engine while driving; it is no longer safe for the engine to drive. Once they give you an estimate, then decide if you want to use your insurance or pay out of pocket to have it fixed.

This is where things get reported to Carfax making the car less desirable. Regardless of whether you go through Insurance (Carfax) or on your own (disclosing it to the next owner), you would lose money however, it would be easier to unload with a clean Carfax.

It was unfortunate but things could have been a lot worse.
