Cheaper than the Porsche thing, big awesome real buttons on the sides, great support, works great. Love it way more than a double DIN plus adapter, personally. Had a rear view camera installed with mine, too, and it’s money.
Interesting option. The harness I bought through Crutchfield didn't require any wiring to the fusebox and was complete plug and play with SiruisXM and backup camera. Incredibly easy to work with but, it does cost more than the Avin setup. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with upgrade...significantly better solution than the Porsche/PCCM options at a much lower cost.
I installed my pccm+ last week and loving it. Boxstre 2005 987.1 The only thing I'm having problems with it. The FM radio will not stay on the station I select. After about 5 seconds, it keeps changing automatically to another station. I've gone through all the settings. And I've reset the radio twice, and it still doesn't. Is anybody have any clues to what is causing this??
I shall betray a generational difference. The previous owner of my 06 BS installed a beautiful new unit with apple car play, blue tooth music and telephone, maps and who knows what else. I've never turned it on and will likely never turn it on. I DO like driving my car though.....

I don't view the two as mutually exclusive.
With one exception, I have not used the PCM system on my car in the two years x 10K miles in which I've owned it.
With a new aftermarket exhaust on the way, I expect that my interest in listening to anything but it will continue to diminish :-)
I just ordered a Sony XAV-AX4000 from Crutchfield and it arrived today. I also have the Bose factory speaker option on my '06 S.
One thing to note, because of the Bose system, a "special" wiring harness adapter is needed. It of course runs about $300 as opposed to the "standard" ~$30 harness.
I plan to install the headset this evening and/or tomorrow. I'll try to remember to take some pics but either way I'll let you know how it goes.
Came with Bose cr-24. I changed it out for. Sony. Ax4000. It seems that I lost radio info on the center cluster? It used to show station info an song info
any help. Please
