Looking good, are you going to do a metal trim ring around the exhaust opening?

Excellent photographs, as there's nothing quite like watching a build unfold...

I've asked before, but not sure there is a teflon / light oil product available commercially outside of Japan?

Wakos Rusupene is a brilliant product that I've used many times in the past for just this.
Pre-application, either by itself or with heat has saved my bits many times.
Details here, as there must be an equivalent Western product?

I've seen a number of such installations spontaneously combust due to proximity to exhaust systems alone.
While 911s might be a bit more susceptible, the 914/6 and the Cayman these days would still, I suggest need decent clearances and / or heat shields - check out the inside of your old clip to start?

Enjoying the work!

just a quick update on the weekends bumper work.

so the part under the pass headlight that was missing some material(up in the beginning of the thread) I filled in. I didn't get any pics of the the finished spot but the front bumper is now painted as well. i'll get some pics asap.

Finally finished the front wiring harness for the fog lights to plug into the harness.

Sold one of my project cars this weekend as well so now that the audi is gone i moved my wifes vette over to the bench area so we can start tackling it. My cave is a work in progress but hopefully by end of summer i'll have all the trim up, floors epoxied, and dry bar area finished.

Sometimes it's a vice to be able to see a word or phrase as having two possible meanings!

I meant "this old fart is knocking it out of the park!" :-)
