Default Anyone familiar with OEM terminal connections and where to purchase?

Not having a ton of knowledge about OEM terminal connections I didn't know if there any easy way for me to track down the type of terminal these are and where to purchase? They specifically are from within the yellow connector under the seats and used to control the seat heating. I've scoured a few websites that list various types of terminals but haven't found this exact match yet. I just didn't know if anyone out there is more versed in electrical than I and could perhaps lend some expertise. I'm researching a side project, attempting to add heat to the carbon bucket seats, and would prefer to have everything wired the way it was from the factory, which would require these terminals.

Thanks for any assistance!

There should be some number or identification on the connectors and/or terminals. I can see something on the connector in that last picture, but it's not clear or easy to make out... I would start there.

Looks like it says "BMW" on there? Is this for a Porsche? Not that you couldn't use a BMW part (and it wouldn't be too unusual, since both are German vehicles) but still seemed weird...

They do have a BMW number (but no logo) on that black connector but nothing on the terminal itself. Definitely a seat right out of my 2012 Spyder.

The dealer has assorted parts like that. If you have a good parts guy he should be able to set you up.

For sure, here’s both sides of it. It looks like a Tyco connector, although half that logo is obscured, the other two grey connectors next to this one clearly said Tyco.

Found it!

968131-2 : AMP MQS, RECEPTACLE AND TAB | TE Connectivity

It seems to be a non-stocked item though and when I googled it most places wanted to order in a quantity of 3000. I need 10 haha. Is there a good source for buying in smaller quantities?

I'm pretty familiar with all the connectors and pins used in 987 series cars, but have to confess I haven't come across this one before. I am not finding any of the usual distributors carrying Power Quadlok Contacts - DigiKey, Mouser, and Newark. You might try asking TE for samples, per the product data page you linked.

What's up with the original connector and pins in your car?

All of those aforementioned suppliers seemingly sell these TE terminals but they all require 3000 unit minimum order.

I added carbon buckets to my Spyder and was working through the most OEM way to add heating elements to the cushions given that my car was equipped with heated 4 way seats from the factory. Seems like an easy project but I wanted to use these terminals in the carbon bucket side seat connector to again keep everything OEM in look and function. So while the connector is the same on the carbon buckets as the 4 way original seats it lacks both the wiring and thus these terminals in that connector. I plan on adding them if I can get my hands on these terminals.

One of the first I tried, before I had the part number. I scrolled through and viewed ALL those terminals. No dice.

I did however create an account with TE and requested a sample 10 terminals which seemingly was processed. So perhaps, success.
