I was battling my AOS as I’m replacing it for maintenance, and while trying to pull one of the connectors off the hose I managed to somehow dislodge this connector. It appears to be a data connector port, similar to what I have on my Dodge. But I’m not sure where it ties onto or if it’s a connector wide it plugs into?
looking closer it appears that I have two winds of a connector and I might’ve possibly pulled one end out of the vacuum line but I’m not sure from where, as when I release the spring clip the connector comes apart in two pieces.
again this was on the lower front side of the EOS where there is a electrical Lume near the bottom of the AOS.
Want to get it sorted out before I put the new AOS back in place. I appreciate any advice!

It just might help if we had a clue what year/engine you're asking about. They do differ.
That doesn't look like a data connection port to me - it looks like a connector of some type, probably for intake air since it's clean and not oily.
Hmmm... could it be? That's connected to the secondary air pump. Sure looks like it - and that illustration is from AllDataDIY - the section is: WM 266519 Removing and installing secondary-air pump
My bad. ‘08 Cayman S. 3.4l
Trying to tell where the connector is running from and to? I looked pretty thoroughly and couldn’t find a port?
That's all it says and shows. I think you have to explore more. That is a pic for a 2009 987.2 - so yours may be slightly different. I know the AOS is different (the .2 one is WAY easier to change..) It does mention pushing in the lock before trying to remove it (which jives with the pic you show..)
For those wishing to know the answer, it is the cable and connector for the PSE exhaust. I don’t have that option so the connector is plugged and tied off. This was verified by the color of wires going to the connector

Really interesting - that's the first case of Porsche providing wiring for an unselected option that I know of. Usually, the harness is built to match the car sale configuration.
Yes, I had a comment on another Forum with the same connector tied to part of the intake manifold. He included a wiring diagram from the Porsche shop manual listing wire colors, routing, etc. That be it!
