I almost convinced my wife that for low cars with two seats only it's normal not to be able to recline seats backward. At home the only two cars we have they have both this "characteristic".

Fortunately, I'm lucky enough to be married to a car gal and have full support for my addiction. I spent last weekend installing an M&M fvb full race exhaust including catless headers in our GT4. We took it for a drive yesterday and she loved it! Her comment during the drive was how much better the midrange torque felt and that she couldn't wait to see the additional improvement after we installed the Softronic tune. BTW, the car also has LWB seats which she loves as well.

You could move the seat bottom forward a little bit and then recline the seat back a little more for a bit of a compromise.

There are brackets available that recline LWB's ~ 5 deg. We have them on our car and they make all the difference. They're about $150/side.
