Exhaust System
I have catless headers on my 987.2 and my buddy has it on his 981. We both agree that it stinks when driving below 40 mph (windows up or down). If you plan to take it to the track 0 times a year, I would recommend going with the 200 cell sport headers instead. It sounds 80% the way there and doesn’t smell.
For anyone interested in Soul performance exhausts for their Cayman we can get you setup.

I've done enough homework to know that the biggest restriction in the exhaust laminar airflow is the cat. Both use the same 200 cell cats. I expected to pay more money for Porsche upgrades when I bought the car but, still try to make intelligent decisions to save money. If I go with SP + $500 I will save some money. If I go with no software update I save more $.
My million dollar question is: given that I already have the software update to go with the plenum and TB, what would I really be gaining in a software update to accommodate a set of headers. In my feeble tight a$$ mind I'm thinking, hell, do I really need the second software update? It can't make that much difference anyway. Or can it?
I could install the SP headers and if the 200 cell cats throw a CEL? Ok FVD, I give. You win. LOL Can anyone give a technical response? TIA dlb
P.S. I understand from talking to a good mechanical engineer friend that, headers added w/o new tune may cause engine overheating at full throttle because the mixture could be too lean. Will the ECU adapt?

John says,
no need for an ECU tune bcuz the ECU will adapt to increase laminar air flow with addition of long tube headers. When a person makes big changes in fuel flow i.e. 82mm TB, that’s when the software must be updated. And I’ve already done that. Woohoo!

Their street headers are legit. Worth the price IMO.

[QUOTE=NAMR6MT;17266797]These look like a SP clone. Not as pretty but 304 stainless. Has anyone purchase these?
