Default AC issues - suggestions?

Purchased my 981 in late February - 1 owner car with 11k miles (2013).

Out on a ride with the wife a few weeks ago on a warm day, and noticed that the AC was not blowing cold air. Got home - went to the local parts store - and purchased an AC charging kit.

Blew cold air at the time of charge - and fast forward to yesterday - no cold air (this was 2 weeks later).

Sound like a leak?

Find an HVAC shop with an R134A leak detector and let them find the leak. It's not a huge surprise given that the refrigerant is pumped from the middle of the car to two condensers in the front bumper, and those condensers are exposed to stone hits and other damaging stuff.,

When I was in for a spark plug job just last week there was a Cayenne in the bay next to mine getting this done. The whole dashboard was gutted. There were pieces on carts, all over the floor and on the roof of the car

The tech was also performing contortionist acrobatics in the passenger seat.

If your 981 is similar to my 987.2 as far as the AC is, I went through the same thing with a leak in a condenser from a 1/2” rock. They are very vulnerable. Changing the condenser is easy withe the front bumper cover removed. YouTube is a great resource. Saved myself $1500 replacing it myself and having an Indy refill the refrigerant.

The classic is indeed a pierced air conditioning condenser but on 981 there is also a potential sneaky leak on the side of the pipes at the entrance to the engine bay at the rear right, you have to remove the last flat bottom and check for the absence of grease at the level of the 2 aluminum hoses.
