Default 987.1 oil pressure switch thread pitch

I'm looking to log oil pressure, and I would like the new sender to thread directly into the existing hole that the existing pressure switch uses. Does anyone know the thread pitch for the pressure switch?

M14 x 1.5

You don't have to remove the factory switch if you don't want. The heads are the same on both sides and you can just replace the plug that's on the driver's side.
Though in my case, that plug was stripped, so I did replace the useless factory switch. I'll post a video about my process soon, was a pretty easy install.

Awesome, thanks. I was suspicious that there was another location, so it is great to have it confirmed.

Depending on what gauge you go with and where you mount it, I did find that just replacing the factory pressure switch was a better fit for the length of wiring included with the Prosport gauge.

The factory pressure switch is a normally-closed switch, so you can just unplug it and leave it unplugged without getting any warning lights. Just tape off the switch connector to avoid it grounding off on something.

I like what you did there. Any link to that gauge?

Prosport Halo Series oil pressure gauge: https://amzn.to/38oJYa9

I opted for this series (with the little controller) because you can program the minimum pressure that you want the warning to trigger at. The light flashes and it beeps loud enough to hear over the exhaust.
It also has a peak pressure recall option.
