Default found a switch under my dash - what does it do?

Hello everyone.
its a weirdest thing ever... I was working on my car to add a wired radar detector. running the wires from the fuse box to the device. when I noticed a switch that is under the dash tucked away.
switch was in the off position... The wires seem to be running to the brake light switch. ok... so you might think its a brake light kill switch. maybe previous owner use to road race and run from cops...
nope. lights are still working on or off position. so I take it for a ride and switch while driving. the acceleration suddenly gets killed and does not work until you take your foot off the accelerator and back on... so what could it be.. any ideas?

Are your RPM's limited with the switch on? Maybe some kind of service switch to limit the joy riding while in service......Phil

Valet mode is what I was thinking as well.

Does your car still have a flux capacitor, or was it removed during the mandatory recall? Probably triggered the flux once upon a time. Does anything happen at 88mph?

Interesting. Can you get a better shot of the connector it's wired to - and where that connector connects? And what is the thing the yellow/black and green wires from the connector go into?

It activates the folded wings and permits aerial operation. (man, that's an OLD reference ...)

FWIW, why go through the ridiculous routing to run a wire from the box? Blendmount exiting right out of the mirror cover to the device. Clean, simple, takes about 10 minutes.

I don't know what yours does, but I had a similar hidden button that I put on a car once. It cut the juice, (electricity) to the fuel pump. You could start the car, but it would die in a block or two. It was easier to wire than an ignition circuit, and I can't imagine a car thief hanging around trying to figure why 'his' stolen car died in the middle of the street.
