I'm surprised that Porsche hasn't made a micro car similar to the Mini yet. My wife was in the market recently and there just wasn't anything small that had the right package of looks, performance, quietness and size. Her prior Countryman was just too loud and nobody else had anything similar. Ended up getting her a CPO '18 C63 convertible. She likes it but wishes it were smaller. Considered an M240 convertible but couldn't justify the price when the C63 was only a bit more expensive for twice the car.
Agreed on that! I just can't get past BMW's ****ty interiors anymore.

Funny, I like BMW interiors. I like them a lot. To me , they are mature and functional. I like the 718 interior (because it's old school), but I don't like other Porsche interiors as much as I like BMW's.

The 5 and up is nice.... My 6 series interior was wonderful. The 3/4 and below are worse than Hondas.
There's no pleasing some people! BMW interiors worse than Honda? C'mon now...
The 2/3/4 series are made to meet a price point and nothing more. People that buy them just want something with a badge. If it's any consolation they also overlap Hondas in price nowadays.

Any BMW I've ever driven (3 series, not a 2 or 4) is a nicer car than a Honda...maybe not as reliable or cost efficient but still nicer to drive. I'd take a budget BMW interior over a Honda interior any day as well.

Almost bought an M240i convertible two weeks ago. Definitely better in every way than a Honda, especially any Honda with a CVT. Ended up paying a bit more for a beautiful CPO 2018 C63 convertible.
EDIT: Forgot I previously posted most of this info above. Sorry for the repeat.
you may be right....although I stil think the headlights look more like the CGT, you can definitely see where the design inspiration came from and always wondered if the "981" had something to do with the "918"
I never would consider the Boxter before, but I saw a silver 981 BS at a light the other day that had me changing my stance.
Actually the 981 and 918 were styled using cues from the CGT. True story. Read or saw it on the internet somewhere from a real Porsche guru talking head.

This alone is proof why the 981 is far better than the 987!
Don't know how well it translates to the real world, but KBB and Edmunds used car appraisal for my 981 BS have remained virtually constant for a little over a year.
I could care less about headlights but what I do like is that the Carrera GT is a RAW, open top, manual gearbox, limited nannies, mid-engine monster admired by many for the pureness of driving. The Spyders are kind of that.....but in an affordable platform that you can drive w/o losing a half million dollars if you "write it off" as the narrator says. I bought a NA flat 6 because I know they'll be gone before too long. Even if P holds a place for GT cars to keep the 6, the bulk of the cars offered at the "affordable" level will move on in the next 5 years to something hybrid. I do wish my car sounded like the CGT though even if I don't need or want the massive HP that goes with it. https://www.pca.org/news/2019-12-10/...-its-brand-new
