Default Jack stand adapters

Does anyone know if something like this is available for purchase? I have been looking and can not find anything.

Unfortunately not what I'm looking for.

What exactly are you looking for - a thinner base on the adapter?

If you look at the picture it's actually an adapter for the head of a jack stand not a actual jack. So you have the puck on top and its attached to a adapter that connects to the jack stand itself.

I was hoping to not have to purchase $400 worth of new jack stands to get flat top jack stands.

More like a little over $200.

Or these aluminum ones are really low cost:

And now that I know what it is, the one in your picture is a cool adapter...

What you want is that 3-sided piece that fits into the jack’s top. I think having a round pin directly attached to that piece so the disc with pin isn’t needed. That’s a point of concern, safety wise.

What would it it be worth to you? I could weld one but haven’t got a bender strong enough to just bend a piece, which is easier and cheaper.

To me, the issue is a good place to jack other than the spot you’ll stick the lift. That’s why I love the Jackpoint stands. But if you feel you’ve got that covered then this type of solution would work. I’ll make myself two since I jack from the rear and use normal jacks there. I’ll post my results.

Well ideally I would say having a whole jack stand bar made specifically for the Porsche jack points would be awesome. But that may be a bit harder. I'm looking at having some made at work. I was just wondering if anyone sells them before I did that.

I agree I'm a bit concerned about the integrity of it. I plan on making the base and welding on the puck then having a way to put a locking pin to keep it from moving around on the jack stand. Maybe 2 pins. Seeing how jack stand heads are all somewhat different I will have to pick a set and have them just for the Porsche.

I jack the front with both sides of the rear jack points and use the B jack point in the picture to get the rear up.

The first link is the ones I looked at. When you pick the pack of 4 its $478?!?! But you can just buy 4 singles for $200ish. Makes no sense.

The second link is definitely cost effective! But they look pretty small 0.o.

There's a guy over in the Rennlist parts marketplace selling a set of 4 pucks that fit in the OEM lift points that give your jack a nice safe place to lift. I think the set of 4 is around $65 USD shipping included to 48 US states.

Correct, mentioned in post #2 - unfortunately, that's not what the OP is looking for.

Using the HF units appear and welded-on adapter seems a very inexpensive solution for a custom Porsche jack stand.. My only concern might be the height of the center post. If too tall, won't it carry all the load (rather than the adapter's shoulders) and possibly deform the car's body beneath its four jack pads. Commercial adapters (as well as the jack stand pictured in your original posting) appear to have a shorter oval center post. An angle grinder and cut off wheel would easily shorten the center post.

It's about half an inch shorter than the inside of the jack point hole to the body. But yes, it's a bit overkill on the length. I have already shaved some down and rounded it off a good bit. I will be putting the car on all 4 stands this week to see how well they actually work.

I made a set of adapters that fit over top of the standard jack stand upper featuring a 3" pad so you can sit the car down on the lift pucks. Works great....
