As I mentioned I don’t mind buying this car however I am not sure if I will have a heck of time selling the car in 2 years and lose too much on it

I kind of agree with you however I checking if there are many people like me who don’t care about high mileage and lack of service history.

If you wanted cheap miles, you would have bought a used Prius. You didn't, you're buying a Porsche because you want to drive a Porsche. High miles may hurt value a little for an older used Porsche, but I wouldn't expect to see much of a price difference between a 100,000 mile and a 150,000 mile Cayman for instance. Buy the car you like and enjoy driving it!

So, from a resale point of view, you may have some trouble unloading that car in the future. From an ownership point of view though, as long as it passes a PPI, I would go for it.

I have a 56k mile 987.2 Boxster for sale that is generating very little interest on here, and I have it priced at the low end of every other similar year and mile boxster I can find on the big sites like autotrader and cars.com. I've learned that here on rennlist, the buyer pool is different than the general public for sure. 56k is considered too high mileage for many, and the base boxster isn't enough performance. Now for me, having driven several different porsches and owned 3 others, I find this car to be an absolute blast to drive, but I'm thinking my eventual buyer will end up a "non Porsche guy or gal" looking to get into their first.

Basically do not buy a high mileage 987.2 if you're hoping to resell it in a couple years.

I've lost the exact count, but I've bought and sold somewhere between 15-20 cars over the last 20 years. This is my 4th Porsche. No other cars have been as difficult to sell. I've not owned a true exotic though, so Ferrari and Lamborghini would be even tougher I'd assume. Porsche buyers are very, very particular. I'm one of those owners that leaves cars in better condition than I bought them, and welcome a PPI on anything I'm selling, but some buyers on here are not interested in buying anything other than low mileage former garage queens. And look, I get it...you can buy a 10 year old Porsche with 60k miles, or you can fairly easily find one with 30k miles for a few thousand more. All other things being equal, most people would go for the lower mileage version. The rarer or hard to get cars go quickly, but the more regular cars do not.
Basically do not buy a high mileage 987.2 if you're hoping to resell it in a couple years.

Admittedly I think the cayman looks better but I love the top down experience. I believe people are or are not convertible people pretty definitively. I most definitely am

I am in a 2016 M235ix convertible currently and love it BUT, I can't do track days due to a lack of roll bar and I'm missing the third pedal that I somehow thought I could live without!
