Are the size and offset of the 987 wheels the same as the 981 wheels?
I think it’s hard, perhaps impossible to answer the question unless we know what size/offset wheels we’re talking about here?

As others have said, if you know rim width, diameter, offset, and tire size (for both riims), enter them into willtheyfit.com & it will give you a nice visual with measurement differences. -Dom

Those are the "new" wheels, correct? Tell us the info from the wheels on your car and we will tell you if they will fit. If I was next to your car I would look them up myself.

Per the 981 owners manual, Pg 261, 18" rims are 8Jx18, RO 57 and 9Jx18, RO 47.
So the fronts are an exact match. Rears are off by 4mm(?).
FWIW, I'm using my 987.2 18" rims on my 2016 CS for the track with no problem.
Note, though, that the overall tire diameter for 981's is significantly larger than 987. I'm running 987 diameter tires to avoid a too-tall sidewall. Side benefits are a lower car and slightly higher torque.
