987.2 interior dimension vs 987.1
I am having a custom harness bar fabricated for my 2011 Boxster (987.2)
The people making it did one for a 2006 (987.1) and know those dimensions.
I assume, but don't know, that the relevant dimensions are the same.
are they? [ie, is the chassis -- or at least the interior dimensions - for a 987.2 the same as for a 987.1?]
Thanks,
fred

I do know the .1 is an inch or two smaller, dash to rear bulkhead. I'm 6'4" and it's was too tight for me. The .2 is good for me. My 981 spyder is maybe 2" more, and wider... luxury!

Huh... never knew that. Always assumed the 987.1 nad .2 were the same.

Wonder how much the interior configuration changed, then. The Body-In-White, itself, appears to be the same for both...

I wondering if it was just a matter of changing the seat bracket and/or the location of it?

Looking at pics, hard to see much of a difference save the steering wheel and stereo options. But, can't say I've sat in a 987.2 for comparison lately.

It's based on the exact same platform... just veneer/refinement with a new power plant. Where from 986 to 987 to 981 was a completely new car.
