Great drive, great shots and very nice capture of GT and Rhodium, best I've seen. Thanks for sharing, beautiful Spyders!

Seriously, I washed her down when I got back home and while the wheels were dirty, there wasn't a thick coat of brake dust.
I'll try to clarify from Bob how he did it (or he may chime in here himself). I believe he said he masked off the perimeter of the Spyder script with tape and then sprayed the script. But then I think he also mentioned something about having them "dipped" so I'm not exactly sure what method he used.

Fantastic Pics SJ
This is exactly what these cars were made for.
I've booked up another big Euro Tour for June..... can't wait !!!
Have you had chance to drive the car with the PCCB's to feel the difference ??
Thanks for posting

Great pics. I want to do that drive some day.
A lot of people seem to denigrate Rhodium,
but it certainly holds its own in those pics!
Both cars have amazingly clean wheels 70 miles in
Biggest feel difference to me for PCCB vs Steel on the road is:
the noise. PCCB can squeak a lot more often - esp
when cold.

I looked today to see how easy it would be to remove the Spyder label to paint it- of course, not easy access from the back! There is a hinge mechanism (?) in the way and even with that off , I don't see an easy way to any clips holding it on. Looks like it may stay chrome for a while!

If you purchase thin masking tape, it's easy to tape off the edges of the letters, then use plastic or autodip to spray, then pull the thin tape off and VOILA'! Black script.
Or... make it gold like the old speedster script on a 356

987, 918 and 981 Spyders
All three modern-day Spyders were in attendance at a local gathering this morning, each sporting silver.
Dave's pepita seat inserts were a huge hit and looked amazing. Pepita's throwback look is right at home in the older 987 and comes across as "period correct." Very tasteful!
