Here is a photo of the finished product. I put some of colored center caps and valve stem covers on as well. I like it. I learned a lot about jacking up and placing the car on stands, which is one of the reasons I like doing this kind of thing, I learn things. Step 2, hydraulics, some neon under-lighting and a giant bass tube.... Not sure why my photo cropped. Can't take the whole car until it stops raining and I can give it a decent clean up.
The 1997 993 Turbo S had yellow calipers and steel rotors. Factory standard.
Thanks for reminding me of that bit of unusual history. As you know, PAG now enforces a branding color scheme to their calipers based on material used, model, hybrid...with a few exceptions.

Apparently little known fact: Non-CC rotors are all iron. Steel would make for a needlessly heavy and expensive rotor with a lower surface coefficient of friction...that's why everyone's rotors have always been iron (until the advent of carbon ceramic, that is). I see all kinds of references to "steel" rotors lately, but they're still all iron. Maybe "iron" just doesn't sound sexy enough for some folks?
