I guess silver-grey-stonegrey-black is a "safe" color range for a dealer to buy for stock - its plain but its not going to give anyone the heeby-jeebies. I'm guessing you don't want too much "challenging" inventory on the lot. The only reason mine is silver is that it was in stock and I was impatient ...
I've seen a yellow Cayman at our local DE's that looks absolutely fantastic !
A nice thing about silver is you can go weeks without washing and the car still looks OK from a distance - a neighbor has midnight blue and it looks to need washing every few days ...

Yeah, I understand the logic behind it, but it seems a shame to leave out that extra bit of emotion that comes with a nice bright color. Guess it just makes it that much more special if you've got one- which, sadly, I don't! Guess I'll just have to try to be patient while searching, but that is rather hard..

I sat in a standard '09 Boxster last weekend, I think the interior is a marked improvement and the new ventilated seats were sweet! Very glad they have given the car some of its curves back too.
