Default Fabspeed feedback?

Anyone have first hand experience with the Fabspeed exhaust on their Cayman/Boxster? I'm concerned about resonance issues.

Thanks!

I have the Fabspeed catback exhaust and headers on my Cayman S. From 2000-2500 rpm there is resonance. If you open up the throttle in this range, it gets loud. Above 3000 rpm it's not a problem and it becomes pure music. Most of the aftermarket exhausts have the resonance problem in the 2000-2500 rpm range, so you learn to modify your driving style to stay out of this region or to not use much throttle there.

I will say the Fabspeed exhaust is superbly made. This is very high quality stuff!

I agree with Jake951 - the Fabspeed exhaust is very well made, but there is some resonance in the range noted above, mainly w/ partial throttle under load (e.g. going up a gradual hill).

I have tried some physical measures to minimize the resonance (insulating the strap hangers and adding exhaust dampers) which helped only slightly. If it were not for the resonance (which probably does affect most aftermarket exhausts), it would be nearly perfect.

I've had a Fabspeed catback for a year now and have no complaints. At steady throttle, there is no drone, but it will start to "hum" if for instance, you are in 6th gear at 50 and ease on the gas. At full throttle, as noted above, it is "music". Other pluses include some significant weight reduction and, in my opinion, among the best build quality of any after-market exhaust. It is all stainless from the header back and has expansion sections in each side.
