I’ve already got a GT4...in voodoo. Not sure the wife would let me get another. But she does like the spyder...but her manual transmission skills aren’t quite there yet.
Definitely possible.. but this one seems very complete compared to previous mules, especially with the new bumper and spoiler.
The evidence is mounting though, and not for a NA engine.
The license plate number is also not the series that we’ve seen on the other GT4/Spyder mules.
When BMW was testing the upcoming M2 competition, there were multiple videos of mules sounding like an N55 engine along with those sounding like an S55 engine which is what it finally got.
I am probably reaching at this point but really hope the final car does not get the 4 cylinder turbo.

Both videos posted with exhaust notes (one idling) and now this one both sound the same to me. If there was/is another engine in a car out there running around Id expect we would see it.
If this car is to be revealed soon for q4 then I’d think it would be nearly finished at this point in the game.

agreed, the idling video sounded turbo to me too. I think this car is an important test for Porsche; will a turbo GT car sell? The 991.2 GT3 production run is ending at the end 2018 presumably due to emissions. Porsche is probably making a financial desicion to not make the 4.0l euro 6 compliant. Either way, I bet they sell every 718 GT4 with no issues.
Looks like all those magazines had their information completely wrong.
In my opinion, all those stories can be traced back to the original 991.2 GT3 interviews. Paraphrasing here, but AP said that the GT division believes in the NA engines and they have a future. That is different then saying all GT cars will be NA. They can always fall back on corporate as the scapegoat anyways.
